| Music Award 25th Anniversary Celebration Concert, Dinner and Cabaret

Celebrating 25 years of Brunel’s Music Awards, recognising and encouraging musical talent throughout the university.
Professor R E D Bishop, Vice Chancellor, enabled the Arts Centre to introduce the Music Bursaries in 1985 as an additional incentive to the most talented applicants, in recognition of the correlation between attainment in extra-curricular music and academically very able under-18s. Following the introduction of tuition fees, these were re-named the University Music Awards, and are available to all undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout the university (other than those receiving individual vocal/instrumental tuition as part of their music degree course). Open auditions are held annually in Week 1.
Current Music Award holders include students in Mechanical Engineering, Integrated Product Design, Design & Technology, B Eng, Psychology, Multimedia Technology Physiotherapy, BSc Media & Communications, Mathematics , Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Drama, English, Creative Writing, PGCert General Primary, Youth & Community Work MA, Product Design , Bio Medical Sciences, Industrial Design & Technology
7pm Glass of Bubbly on arrival
7.10pm Performances by current students
7.45pm Dinner
Supreme of chicken with a wild mushroom sauce

Baked aubergine with red peppers and a herb crumble topping. Served with a tomato sauce (v)
New potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables

8.45pm Presentation of 2010 Music Awards by VC Presentation of Arts Centre Awards
9pm Cabaret by Music Award Alumni including Boys Aloud (Will Edleston, Ben McMath, Ross Ramgobin)
